Theme: Abundance, Prosperity, Wealth, Money
Description: An effective way to welcome abundance into your life is to start believing that the world is abundant and YOU are abundant.
Music: "Ray of Light" by Madonna.
This video took me three weeks to complete. The first stage was to compile the materials. For the affirmations, I adapted them from the book "Creating Money - Keys to Abundance" by Sanaya Roman and Duane Packer. I like them because they are brief, to the point and powerful.
Music: "Ray of Light" wasn't just a random selection. I chose it specifically because it's catchy, upbeat, and has an empowering feeling to it. Many people have asked me to replace it with an instrumental piece because some find the lyrics distracting. But that would change the entire piece because there are phrases in the lyrics that act as anchors to the affirmations and pictures in the video. The phrases give the right 'punch' to the messages behind the composition.
For instance:
when the lyric goes "...And I feel like I just got home..." the corresonding affirmations would be "Prosperity is always finding ways to express
itself in my life"; and "I easily create money and abundance through joy, aliveness and self love."
For me, the meaning behind this is that we have to 'go back' to who we are to know what our definition of prosperous and abundant is really is. Only then ways to manifest them is opened up to us.
Images: They are mostly symbolic representations on wealth and prosperity. For example: leaves growing on the tree represents the regenerating energy of money; dollar signs in light bulbs symbolize creative ideas being turned into profitable source of income; and the spinning/spiralling circles in the videos are interpretations of infinite abundance - no ends and beginnings.
Theme: Life is beautiful.
Description: This video is a reminder to look beyond what's in front of your eyes. Discover beauty in nature, dreams, love and the self within.
Music: "As I Lay Me Down" by Sophie B. Hawkins.
This video was my first attempt in creating Vision Videos. Sophie's song moves me a lot as each time I listen to it, it reminds me that life in the now is perfect the way it is, and that I should let go of wanting to control everything.
Affirmations/Intentions + Images + Emotions = Results
Effective affirmations are positive, in the present tense and short. For example: “I live in abundance.” “I choose to feel abundant.” Never use the words “will” or “going to” as they signify you are still lacking something. Always write affirmations on things as if you already have them.
I discovered how powerful images can be through my vision board. When you can actually see what you want (ie. pictures of your dream house, dream car, dream boat, etc), it strengthens the affirmation/intention even more as it tells the mind that it is possible to have it.
This is the most challenging, and most essential element. Essential because it’s the catalyst that materializes your intentions. Challenging because it’s not that easy to call up an emotion each time you do your affirmations.
But music does, and rather instantly too. For example, if I want a feeling of empowerment and a world full of possibilities, "Ray of Light" from Madonna does it for me. If I want to recall how beautiful and meaningful life is, Sophie B Hawkin's "As I Lay Me Down" reminded me that. I guess it's a personal thing which song moves you. But most importantly, it works.
